Well, I've signed up for the Summer Card Camp & it's inspiring me to try lots of new things already, even though it's only day 2. One of those new things is this blog - I started it MONTHS ago but have never gotten around to posting anything, but here goes.
This week's colour (yes, I'm an Aussie therefore use British spelling a lot of the time) combination is WAY out of my comfort zone. I generally avoid the most vivid colours, preferring subtle or deep shades. So the bright pink/bright purple/orange combination is new for me, and I would never think of matching them up with pale blue....but I'm determined to try everything in the Card Camp. (Easy to say on Day 2. We'll see how I go.) Yesterday when I saw the colours I came home from work and hunted through all my supplies and pulled out everything that fits, so I could see all the options in front of me. Hmm. There weren't as many purple things as I thought. All my purples tend to be much more muted. So I stuffed around for a coupe of hours, made a mess, started then abandoned a few ideas, then gave up in disgust.
So I was even more determined today to actually finish a card using the colour combo. Here it is. Fairly clean and simple for me.
Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink "Spiral Bouquet"
Ink: Versacolor orange & Opera Pink
Cardstock: PTI orange, others I have no idea!
Embossing powder: clear, and from YEARS ago....Comotion Clear Tops in Glowing Magenta Kiss & Glowing Jungle Flower
Hopefully I'll actually finish a few more cards in this combo & upload them later in the week. I start a three week holiday next week, so there should be much more time to play (and therefore more to show for it) in weeks 2-4.

Gorgeous! I love the bit of stitching along the sentiment panel.
